Accessing appropriate and affordable finance was the key theme of two workshops held recently in Caboolture.
One workshop was specifically designed to assist individuals normally excluded from mainstream finance, to understand alternative appropriate and affordable solutions to meet their finance needs. The other workshop was aimed at assisting community workers understand how they can help their clients access affordable and appropriate finance.

No Interest Loans for concession card holders
Fair Finance Australia (FFA) has expanded its product range to offer a more flexible fit with credit requirements by low income families. FFA’s micro-credit loan product has been around for over 9 months. In this time FFA identified gaps in the range of product offered to fulfil the promise to always supply or refer to the most appropriate loan product. Some FFA clients with concession cards are eligible for the NILS (no interest loans) offered via Good Shepherd Microfinance. Instead of referring FFA clients on and putting them through another process FFA has become an accredited NILS provider in order to provide NILS directly. This way FFA is keeping its commitment to do the best for the client.

Fair Finance Reaching Out |

Fair Finance Australia is happy to announce several outreach locations outside of the central Brisbane area increasing the level of client access to its services. Three community organisations in the Gold Coast region have agreed to house Fair Finance once a month, with one in Runcorn and also potentially in the Caboolture region.
